Claude introductory training
The Claude introductory training gives an overview of the six main ways people interact with AI and use it in their work: content creation, research, ideation and strategy, data analysis, coding and automation. We go through all six use cases and show how they help you do your everyday work more efficiently. The trainer adjusts how deeply the topics are covered to the group’s experience and needs. Explanations and examples alternate with short hands-on tries and discussions. Participants can try selected tasks, but because of the limited time most of the workbook exercises are left for independent practice. The six use cases are based on the core components of AI use described in OpenAI’s guide “Identifying and scaling AI use cases in organizations” (source).
This 3-academic-hour training does not produce a finished practical result. You become more aware of what AI can do, get to know how to use it and experiment a little so you can start with more confidence. If you want to get a specific piece of work finished during the training, we recommend choosing the 6-academic-hour training.

- We relate the six use cases to office work.
- We explain the risk of AI making mistakes and the limits on using data, and distinguish between work and personal accounts.
- Each participant chooses one task from their own work.
- Participants add a goal, background information and the desired form of the answer to the task, and prompt Claude to ask for missing information.
- The trainer shows how a project brings together the instructions and materials for one topic, and explains the difference between a chat and Cowork.
- Participants use Claude to draft an email or a document summary and make one substantive revision.
- We check that the result matches the source material.
- The trainer also shows how to create a document (Docs) and a presentation (Slides).
- We distinguish between web search and Research.
- Participants check one claim in a sample answer against the original source and assess how up to date the source is.
- The trainer demonstrates how to start a Research task.
- The trainer shows how to have Claude suggest solutions to a work problem and assess their weak points.
- Participants compare the options and choose one feasible next step.
- The trainer uses Claude for Excel to analyse a sample spreadsheet, explains one formula and formulates a conclusion.
- Together, participants check one calculation and assess whether the data supports the conclusion.
- The trainer builds an interactive dashboard from sample data as an artifact, an output that opens next to the chat and can be edited.
- We change it in plain language and check that the figures match the source data.
- No code is written by hand.
- The trainer shows the role of Cowork, reusable work instructions, plugins and scheduled tasks.
- Participants save their best prompt and choose a recurring activity whose automation they want to explore further.
Personalised and immediately applicable
The greatest strength of the training was personalisation. Every lesson built on our company's real situations and processes, not textbook examples. The balance of theory and practice and the concrete tips helped us quickly adopt new working methods. The training gave us tools that can be applied immediately, not knowledge that ends up in a drawer.

Learning outcomes
What you'll be able to do:
give the AI the context it needs and prompt it to ask for the information it needs when you cannot provide it yourself;
recognise the AI features shown in the training and describe their main uses;
name the six AI use cases and relate them to your own work tasks: content creation, research, ideation and strategy, data analysis, coding and automation.

Encouraging and practical
We gained the courage to experiment and to see how to make our work easier. A start has been made and I am very grateful for it. I especially liked the practical examples. At the same time, I understand that consolidating skills and deepening knowledge requires a lot more practice.
Good to know
Before the training
Scope of the training
The training gives you the skills to start using AI in your everyday work. The coding part is limited to a simple interactive dashboard example; Claude Code is not taught separately. Integrating company systems, developing production-ready applications and automating end-to-end processes require separate training or development work.
Duration and format
Three academic hours equal 135 minutes of instruction. Breaks are added on top of this time. The training can be held online or on site; on-site training lets the trainer guide participants’ practice more directly. The training is held in Estonian or English.
Prerequisites
Each participant needs a computer with an internet connection. The required applications and add-ins must be set up before the training. To take part hands-on, you need a Claude Team or Enterprise account approved by your organisation, with the features needed for the training enabled. The main exercises take place in Claude on the web. To try out data analysis, the Claude for Excel add-in must be installed and ready to use in Excel. We check the availability of Cowork and plugins with the client before the training. For practice, we use sample data or materials agreed with the client.
