Training organisation principles

These principles apply to Tehisintellekt OÜ continuing education courses. They describe how a participant joins a course, how teaching is organised, what is paid and when, and what rights and obligations a participant has.

For questions about course organisation, write to koolitus@tehisintellekt.ee.

1. Admission and removal from a course

  • Registration is by e-mail to koolitus@tehisintellekt.ee. Public courses can also be booked in the web shop at tehisintellekt.ee.
  • A registered participant who cannot attend must inform us immediately at koolitus@tehisintellekt.ee.
  • If a course does not take place through the fault of the trainer or the organiser, the fee is refunded in full.
  • A participant is removed from a course if they do not meet the organisational requirements, including the payment terms, or if the conditions for taking part are not met.

2. Requirements for completing a course

A certificate (tunnistus) is issued to a participant who attended at least 80% of the contact hours and passed the assessment.

A participant who achieved the learning outcomes and passed the assessment receives a certificate. A participant who did not take or did not pass the assessment receives a statement of attendance (tõend), as does a participant who discontinues the course. The statement then lists only the topics the participant actually attended.

An Estonian personal identification code is needed to issue a certificate. Why we ask for it and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.

3. Tuition payment and refunds

  • The course is paid against an invoice sent to the e-mail address the participant provided. For a course spanning several months, the invoice is issued at the end of each calendar month for the hours held that month.
  • If a participant withdraws at least 14 days before the course starts, 90% of the fee is refunded. If notice arrives 3-13 days before the start, 50% is refunded. Less than 3 days before, or on non-attendance, the fee is not refunded.
  • If the course is cancelled for reasons on the trainer’s or the organiser’s side, the whole prepaid fee is refunded.

The above applies to courses ordered against an offer. If you bought a seat in the web shop at tehisintellekt.ee, your order is governed by the terms of sale, which set out their own cancellation tiers and the consumer right of withdrawal and which prevail.

4. How teaching is organised

  • Courses are held in rooms suitable for teaching or in an online environment. The venue can be flexible, depending on what the participants and the trainer prefer.
  • Study volume is measured in academic hours, where one academic hour is 45 minutes.
  • Courses are delivered in Estonian unless agreed otherwise.
  • The trainer collects and processes participants’ personal data (name, e-mail, phone, personal identification code) under the Personal Data Protection Act. The identification code is needed for the certificate.

Our training rooms are at Jalgpalli 1, 11312 Tallinn, Eesti and Narva mnt 18, 51009 Tartu. The exact venue of an on-site course is always stated with the course and in the order confirmation.

5. Participant rights and obligations

A participant has the right to:

  • receive the training described in the curriculum they registered for and paid for;
  • receive further information during the course about its organisation, schedule and content;
  • demand a refund if the course is cancelled through the trainer’s fault;
  • leave the course before it ends, in which case the fee is not refunded;
  • receive the corresponding certificate on successful completion.

A participant is obliged to:

  • pay the fee in the amount and by the date stated on the invoice;
  • follow the instructions given during the course and take an active part in the work.

6. Resolving disputes

Any disagreement between the trainer and the participant is resolved first through negotiation. If negotiation produces no result, the dispute is resolved in court.

A consumer may also turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee - the contacts and the procedure are in the terms of sale.
